Save big on getting around in France!
Heading to France this winter? Most travelers land in Paris and then make their way across the country for sightseeing with guided tours and day tripping by rail. But one way to save big is to skip the pricey tours or a rental car and take a ride on Flixbus, Europe’s largest intercity bus network.
Flixbus is offering one-way tickets across the French route network for just $0.99 — under a buck — for travel through March 31.
Here are some suggested routes for the $0.99 deal:
- Annecy – Lyon
- Marseille – Paris
- Rennes – Paris
- Bordeaux – Lyon
- Grenoble – Marseille
- Lyon – Tours
- Paris – Lyon
- Lille – Paris
- And many more… (view the list of cities served in France here).
Routes are not offered daily and select routes only once or twice per week. If you can’t find the $0.99 rate, most routes average under $6 one-way.
Passengers can bring along drinks and snacks and have use of large overhead compartments or access to checked bag area. Expect complimentary 4G Wi-Fi (lots of outlets) and comfortable seats with plenty of space and legroom, and an onboard toilet.
Flixbus offers daily connections to 2000 destinations in 27 countries in Europe.
Travel tip: Flixbus uses the Paris Bercy Seine station near AccorHotels Arena in the 12th arrondissement. The entrance to the bus station is behind a park 500 meters from Metro stop Bercy.
