Everyone enjoys a good sale, and this month is going to be full of them, so get your shopping lists ready! Money expert Clark Howard mentioned on his radio show last week that October is going to be the month to get a bargain in lieu of rising shipping costs in December.
“Most people don’t even like to think about Christmas shopping until after Halloween,” he said. “This year, that’s going to cost you. It’s going to eat into your wallet. In fact, I want you to figure out who’s been naughty or nice now. The middle of October is going to a key, maybe the key, money-saving moment for Christmas.”
Amazon is offering early Prime Day deals now, but its shopping event will be in full swing next week on October 13 and 14. Target and Best Buy will be having their own sales on the same days, but Walmart kicks things off on Sunday, October 11 at 7pm ET with its Walmart Big Save Event running through October 15. We expect lots of competition during this sale period, so it’s always worth it to price compare and check different retailers’ prices before you buy!
This weekend, a handful of the below retailers are joining the newest shopping holiday, the 10.10 Shopping Festival, with special deals available for every taste. Sales will run Friday through Sunday to give you a chance to get some early holiday shopping out of the way, and a portion of the proceeds from participating retailers will be donated to charity!
