Having a good sense of fashion doesn’t mean that a new fall wardrobe has to cost you an arm and a leg. There’s nothing better than sitting out on the front porch with a hot cup of coffee, curled up in that new comfy sweater, and watching the leaves fall from the trees.
From pumpkin patches, to hayrides and lots of baking in between, obsessing over the cost of clothing is not an ideal addition to the Fall schedule. Β So here are some ways that you can snatch up the best bargains so that you have more time and money to enjoy some Fall Festivals (or stash that extra cash into some savings, yo!). Β
1. Outlet Malls. If you’re lucky enough to have an outlet strip mall in your area, this is a great way to grab some bargains if you’re a loyal fan to specific brands. Many times you can find items for at least 50% off the price you would find at the main store.
2. Thrift Shops. Don’t be afraid to pop those tags at your local Goodwill and other thrift stores. Second-hand clothing is also trendy these days, so you don’t need to worry about losing any cool points at the kids’ table.
3. Craigslist. If you’re looking for specific items like kids’ size clothing or maternity, Craigslist can be a great source for local bargains. Oftentimes you can buy a complete wardrobe for very little out of pocket. Just be aware and careful about bogus Craigslist offers.
4. Shop Online. If you’re fairly comfortable with shopping for clothing online (no changing rooms here to try things on), then it is possible to grab some nice clothing at a good price. Coupon codes and free shipping make online shopping a big draw for many people. Here are a couple of great sites for grabbing online clothing and shoe deals:
5. Clearance Racks. While most stores currently have Summer items out on the clearance racks, there are still some bargains to be had on clothing that can be worn for Fall. Or if you’re really planning ahead, use those clearanced items to plan ahead for next year’s Spring and Summer wardrobes. Now that’s some savvy shopping!
What are some of the ways that you plan on saving for your Fall wardrobe? And the ultimate question: what’s the best bargain you’ve ever gotten on clothing?
