Mall of America, the largest shopping center in the country, recently announced that it won’t open on Thanksgiving Day so that mall employees can spend time with family and friends.

In the last few years, the Mall of America and many other retailers have stayed open on Thanksgiving for shoppers who want to get an early start on Black Friday deals and steals.
