If you’re a fan of décor stores like HomeGoods or At Home, there’s a similar retailer out there that might fly under your radar, but is certainly worth a look.
Tuesday Morning is a closeout chain with a name that may seem a bit silly at first. But it’s so named because (founder Lloyd Ross has been quoted as saying) Tuesday “is the first positive day of the week.” That was true in 1974 when he opened his doors in a Dallas warehouse, and it’s still true today!
Turns out Ross must be on to something. Tuesday Morning has now grown to include more than 700 stores across the country!

Tuesday Morning offers upscale home decor, furniture, luggage, toys, crafts and more that didn’t sell at other retailers.
Here’s how to find the best deals on the floor…
Practically every store in the world has a clearance section! When you’re in the closeout business, a generic clearance area that apes everybody else’s simply won’t do — you’ve got to step your game up a little!
That’s why Tuesday Morning employs a color-coded system on its clearance merchandise.
Think pink for 20% the ticketed clearance price. Nothing rhymes with orange, but it will “juice” up your savings by squeezing another 40% off the clearance price!
But it’s mellow yellow that delivers a whopping 60% savings on merchandise that’s already been marked down.
A Tuesday Morning clerk we spoke to told us a handwritten price tag indicates one of two things — either the item didn’t come with a price tag from their warehouse or there’s been an unexpected in-house price drop.
The one thing a handwritten price tag never means? That the price went up!
When you see this kind of tag, you know you’re getting an extra-good deal.
Tuesday Morning has a free membership club that you can register for online. When you sign up, you’ll get your Perks card in an email along with an offer of $10 off a purchase of $50 or more.
You can either add your Digital Perks Card to your Apple Wallet or download it to your phone. (Sorry, Android users!)
When you’re a Perks member, you’ll get invitations to a monthly event where the store brings special merchandise to the floor. The special merchandise is marked with a green tag.
If you spot this tag on an item, you know that means it was part of a one-day sale.
But here’s the good news: Tuesday Morning will honor the green tag price even if you’re not purchasing that item during the one-day sale.
When we visited the store, special gourmet food was being offered near checkout at 25% off.
Perfect for snacking while you work up an appetite getting all those deals!
Tuesday Morning is constantly bringing new finds out on the floor. Some of the best discounts we saw were on winter accessories.
Now who doesn’t love fuzzy slippers?!
When we visited Tuesday Morning shortly after Valentine’s Day, there were fancy pop-up cards for your sweetie being offered at a sweet discount — 50% off.
