“We came to show the marketplace there was a better way — to both lower prices and deliver a better customer experience. With this promotion, we are inviting consumers to see for themselves with no risk,” said Chris Chuang, CEO of Republic Wireless. “Our philosophy is to build long-term relationships, not through complex contracts and device financing schemes, but through earning their loyalty every day with the value and experience we bring.”

This offer is available from Tuesday, May 16 to Monday, May 22, while limited SIM card supplies last.

After receiving your Republic Wireless SIM card, you must activate the phone by June 6 to receive up to 2 GB of data at no charge for six months after the first full billing cycle.

In other words, the free service applies starting with the second billing cycle.

If you don’t think 2 GB of data will be enough, you can change plans at any time and pay the difference. Republic’s 4 GB plan is $45 a month and its 6 GB plan is $60 a month.

This deal is only available to new customers or new service lines on existing accounts.

What makes Republic Wireless different

Republic Wireless’ technology relies heavily on Wi-Fi for calls, text messages and the internet. The company says it blends Wi-Fi with cellular to create “expanded network coverage” at a lower cost.

Clark likes Republic Wireless because it’s a no-contract provider, featuring a $20 a month plan with 1 GB of data. Due to its heavy reliance on Wi-Fi, Republic says the $20 plan meets the needs of most members.

“It’s almost cult-like with Republic Wireless. They are the best deal for one person — or even a couple – in the country,” Clark said.

Although Republic Wireless is offering six months of no cost service to those who qualify, keep in mind that you’ll still have to pay for taxes and fees.
