AMC is offering “self-identified AMC shareholders” a chance to get a free exclusive non-fungible token (NFT).

NFTs are a new type of digital asset with exclusive ownership recorded using blockchain technology. In order to get your free exclusive AMC NFT, self-identified shareholders simply have to register online at AMCTheatres.com/stockholders by December 31.

“It is expected that this NFT will be tradable and/or sellable,” an accompanying press release notes. “There may be fees or costs associated with such transfers, including a small royalty to AMC.”

In addition, AMC says it plans to “airdrop discounts or other benefits” to holders on record of these NFTs from time to time going forward.
