Veterans Day is almost here, a day in which we remember and honor those who have served in the U.S. armed forces. Although we can never express our gratitude enough, many companies are providing free or discounted goods and services to both veterans and active-duty service members as a small token of appreciation. Food and restaurant deals for veterans

• Applebee’s: On November 11, all veterans and active military can receive free meals at participating Applebee’s locations. Must show proof of military service. Beverage and gratuity not included. Dine-in only.
• Biggby Coffee: Get a free 16 oz. freshly brewed cup of coffee on Veteran’s Day.
• BJ’s Restaurant: Veterans and active military receive a complimentary entrée and a free Dr. Pepper beverage with a military ID. Offer good November 11 only for dine-in service.
• Black Angus: For all current and past members of the military, enjoy a free meal on November 11 at all locations. They also offer service men and women a 15% discount year-round.
• Bob Evans: Veterans and active military can receive one of 7 free menu items on November 11. Must show proof of military service or come dressed in military uniform. Dine-in only.
• Buffalo Wild Wings: Free order of 10 boneless wings and a side of fries to veterans and current military members. Dine-in or take-out. Bring proof of military service.
• California Pizza Kitchen: All veterans & active military receive a free entrée. Valid November 11. In addition, you can donate 20% of your sale to disabled veterans from Nov. 7-9 when you dine in or order online with promo code DAV at checkout.
• Chick-fil-A: Local restaurants may be offering deals to veterans such as a free chicken sandwich. Check your local restaurant for details.
• Chili’s: On November 11, veterans and active military members can get a free meal from a special menu with a valid military ID. Dine-in only.
• Golden Corral: Active or former military members who have served in the U.S. Military can get a free thank you meal from 5 p.m. to close on November 14.
• Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt: Veterans and active duty military can enjoy their first 6 ounces of froyo free on November 11!
• Red Lobster: All active and retired military personnel can receive a free Walt’s Favorite Shrimp, fries and coleslaw on November 11 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. local time. Must show proof of service to redeem the offer.
• Red Robin: Veterans and active military can get a free Red’s Tavern Double Burger on November 11 when dining in.
• Starbucks: Starbucks is honoring those who serve with a free tall hot or iced brewed coffee for veterans, military service members and military spouses on November 11 at participating U.S. Starbucks stores.

Free admission for veterans

• Aquarium of the Pacific: Free admission on Veterans Day for veterans and military personnel with military ID. Advance reservations required. Limited capacity.
• Boston Duck Tours: Veterans, active military and first responders ride free during the week of Veterans Day.
• B&B for Vets: Receive a complimentary one-night stay on November 10 with military ID to enjoy local Veterans Days celebrations across the country.
• Colonial Williamsburg: Get one complimentary admission ticket per year (and for as many as 3 direct dependents) on either Memorial Day weekend or Veterans Day weekend.
• Harley-Davidson Museum: On November 11, the Harley-Davidson Museum will offer free Museum admission for all active Military, Veterans and their families. MOTOR® Bar & Restaurant is offering a FREE meal for all Veterans and active Military (up to $12.95 with purchase of a beverage).

• Thomas Jefferson Monticello: Free admission for veterans from November 11 through 13. Admission for active-duty military personnel is free year-round for select tours and passes.
