Veterans Day is almost here, a day in which we remember and honor those who have served in the U.S. armed forces. Although we can never express our gratitude enough, many companies are providing free or discounted goods and services to both veterans and active-duty service members as a small token of appreciation. Food and restaurant deals for veterans

• Applebee’s: On November 11, all veterans and active military can receive free meals at participating Applebee’s locations. Must show proof of military service. Beverage and gratuity not included. Dine-in only.
• Biggby Coffee: Get a free freshly brewed cup of coffee up to 24 oz. on Veteran’s Day.
• BJ’s Restaurant: Receive a free Chocolate Chunk Pizookie with military ID. Also, from November 12 through December 31, military who dine in and purchase an entrée will receive a free Appetizer Bounce Back to enjoy on a future visit.
• Black Angus: This chain offers service men and women a 15% discount year-round.
• Buffalo Wild Wings: Free order of 10 boneless wings and a side of fries to veterans and current military members. Dine-in or take-out. Bring proof of military service.
• California Pizza Kitchen: For veterans who dine in on November 11, they can receive a complimentary entrée and drink from a prix fixe menu.
• Chick-fil-A: Many locations honor Veterans Day with a free chicken sandwich or biscuit for active-duty military and veterans who show proof of service. Check with your local store for details.
• Chili’s: On November 11, veterans and active military members can get a free meal with a valid military ID. Dine-in only.
• Cracker Barrel: Veterans and active-duty service members can enjoy a complimentary Sunrise Pancake Special* in-store on November 11 with military ID.
• Golden Corral: Active or former military members who have served in the U.S. Military can get a free thank you meal from 4 p.m. to close on November 11.
• Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt: Veterans and active duty military can enjoy their first 6 ounces of froyo free on November 11!
• Red Lobster: Veterans, active-duty military and reservists can get a free Veteran’s Shrimp & Chip – featuring six Walt’s Favorite Shrimp, served with cocktail sauce and ketchup, as well as crispy French Fries and Coleslaw – on November 11. Check to make sure your local Red Lobster is offering this deal!
• Red Robin: Veterans and active-duty military guests who dine-in will receive a complimentary Red’s Big Tavern Burger and Bottomless Steak Fries at participating locations.
• Sonny’s BBQ: Sonny’s BBQ will salute Veterans with a FREE Pork Big Deal. This offer includes a sandwich, side, and drink all covered by Sonny’s.
• Starbucks: Get a free tall (12-ounce) hot or cold brewed coffee for veterans, military service members and military spouses who visit participating U.S. Starbucks stores on November 11.

Free admission for veterans

• Aquarium of the Pacific: Free admission on Veterans Day for veterans and military personnel with military ID. Advance reservations required. Limited capacity.
• Boston Duck Tours: Veterans and active military ride free during the week of Veterans Day; dependents are $10.
• B&B for Vets: Bed & Breakfasts around the nation are offering Buy 1/Get 1 Free and/or Free overnights on or around Veterans Day.
• Colonial Williamsburg: Get one complimentary admission ticket per year on either Memorial Day weekend or Veterans Day weekend.
