Veterans Day is here, a day in which we remember and honor those who have served in the U.S. armed forces. Although we can never express our gratitude enough, many companies are providing free or discounted goods and services to both veterans and active-duty service members as a small token of appreciation. (And if you’re a veteran or member of the military, we have a free financial guide to help you get your finances in tip-top shape!) 

Here is a list of some of the best deals being offered throughout the week in honor of Veterans Day.

Food and restaurant deals for veterans

  • Acapulco: This Mexican restaurant will be offering a complimentary 3-item combo meal to active military members and veterans on November 11. This deal is available from 3pm until close. Bring in proof of service or military ID to redeem!
  • Applebee’s: On Sunday, November 11, all veterans and active military can receive one of eight signature entrées for free at participating Applebee’s locations. Must show proof of military service. Beverage and gratuity not included. Dine-in only.
  • Bakers Square: Honoring all who have served, as well as active military, Bakers Square is offering free buttermilk pancakes, french toast, or a Belgian waffle on November 11. Additionally, all veterans and active duty service members who dine in on November 11 will receive a 20% off coupon for their next visit. Please bring in proof of service or military ID.
  • BJ’s Restaurant: Veterans and active military receive a complimentary entrée worth under $12.95 and a free Dr. Pepper beverage with a military ID. Offer good November 11 only. Plus, during the whole month of November, current and former military members can get a free Pizookie through the Buy a Hero a Pizookie Program while supplies last.
  • Bob Evans: Veterans and active military can receive one of six free menu items on November 11. Must show proof of military service or come dressed in military uniform.
  • Buffalo Wild Wings: All active and retired service members receive a free small order of traditional or boneless wings and a side of fries on November 11. Dine-in only. Must show proof of military service.
  • California Pizza Kitchen: All veterans and active military are eligible for a free entrée from a special Veterans Day menu at California Pizza Kitchen. Dine-in only. Must be in uniform or show proof of service. Valid November 11.
  • Chevy’s Fresh Mex: Veterans and current service members get a free meal with a valid military ID. Choose from select 3-item combo meals including tacos, enchiladas, tamales and more.
  • Chili’s: On November 11, veterans and active military members can get a free meal from a special menu with a valid military ID.
  • Chipotle: On Sunday, November 11, Chipotle is offering a buy one, get one burrito, bowl, salad or taco order for all veterans, active military and military families with ID. Offer good for dine-in only. Limit one free menu item per U.S. military ID.
  • Cracker Barrel: All veterans and active duty military receive a free piece of double chocolate fudge Coca-Cola cake or a complimentary Crafted Coffee on November 11.
  • Denny’s: Active, inactive and military personnel receive a free “Build Your Own Grand Slam” on November 12 from 5am to noon. Valid at participating locations. Military ID is required.
  • Dunkin’ Donuts: All veterans and active duty military can enjoy a free donut on November 11. No purchase necessary.
  • El Torito: Veterans and current service members can get a free meal with a valid military ID on November 11 from 3pm until close.
  • Famous Dave’s: This barbecue joint is offering a free Two Meat Salute to all former and current military personnel.
  • Golden Corral: All active and retired military are invited from 5pm to 9pm on Monday, November 12 for a free dinner on Military Appreciation Night.
  • Hooters: All military eat free on November 11 from a special Veterans Day menu. Dine-in only. Offer valid only at participating locations. Beverage purchase required. Military ID or proof of service required.
  • Little Caesar’s: All United States veterans and active military are invited to Little Caesar’s Pizza for a free $5 HOT-N-READY® Lunch Combo from 11:00am to 2:00pm at participating stores nationwide this Veterans Day, November 11.
  • Logan’s Roadhouse: All former and active-duty military receive one of eight free entrée options. Valid November 11 from 3pm to 6pm.
  • LongHorn Steakhouse: In honor of Veterans Day, this restaurant is offering a free appetizer or dessert to all veterans on November 11. Additionally, veterans will be given a full table 10% discount.
  • On the Border: Veterans and active military can enjoy a free create-your-own combo meal (choose 2 or choose 3 option) on November 11. Dine-in only. Must show proof of military ID or service.
  • Outback Steakhouse: Get a free Bloomin’ Onion and a beverage with show of military ID on November 11.
  • Red Lobster: All active and retired military personnel can receive a free appetizer or dessert from a special menu on November 11 and 12. Must show proof of service to redeem offer.
  • Red Robin: Enjoy a free Red’s Tavern Double® Burger and Bottomless Steak Fries®. No purchase is necessary. Just show proof of service.
  • Ruby Tuesday:  A free appetizer, up to $10 in value, is being offered to all active and retired military members. Only valid for dine-in at participating locations. Bring proof of service.
  • Shoney’s: All active and retired military with valid military ID are welcome to a free all-you-can-eat breakfast on November 12 from 6-11am.
  • Sizzler: Active duty and former members of the military receive the choice of one of three free lunch options and beverage on November 11 until 4pm. This offer was announced on the restaurant’s Facebook page.
  • Texas Roadhouse: Active, former, or retired military receive a free lunch entrée from a special Veterans Day menu on November 11. Dine-in only and please show proof of military service.
  • T.G.I. Friday’s: Veterans who show valid military identification can enjoy a free ½ rack of Big Ribs or any entrée up to $12. Offer valid on November 11 and 12. Additionally, all military service members will receive a coupon for a free personal sized appetizer with any purchase on November 13-30.
  • White Castle: Veterans and all members of the military receive a free combo meal (#1-6) or breakfast combo on November 11 and 12. No purchase necessary. Valid at participating locations.

Free admission for veterans

  • 9/11 Memorial and Museum: Veterans receive free museum entry November 7-11 and half-price tickets for two family members.
  • Aquarium of the Pacific: Free admission on Veterans Day for veterans and military personnel with military ID.
  • Boston Duck Tours: Veterans, active military and first responders ride free November 12-16.  Dependents receive discounted $10 tickets. Proof of service or employment is required.
  • B&B for Vets: Receive a complimentary one-night stay on and around Veterans Day with military ID.
  • Colonial Williamsburg: Get one complimentary admission ticket per year (and as many as three direct dependents). Retired military and Veterans qualify for 50% discount on single-day tickets or on annual passes for up to five direct dependents.
  • Harley-Davidson Museum: On November 9-11 Harley-Davidson Museum® will offer free Museum entry for all active Military, veterans and their families.
  • Des Moines Botanical Center: Veterans get in free on November 11.
  • Killington: All active duty, retired and honorably discharged members of the U.S. Military who visit Killington on Veterans Day will receive a complimentary lift ticket plus being eligible for the Killington/Pico Express Card.
  • Knott’s Berry Farm: Active, retired or veteran U.S. military personnel may receive free admission for themselves and 1 guest (maximum of 2 complimentary admissions will be issued.) Show your Military I.D. card at a Knott’s Berry Farm ticket booth November 1-15 and November 26 through December 21.
  • Mount Vernon: Free admission for military/veterans on November 11 from 9am – 4pm.
  • National Parks: Get fee-free entrance on November 11 and 12. This is for everyone!
  • National WWI Museum and Memorial: Admission is free for veterans and active duty military personnel November 9-11. Admission for the general public is half off.
  • National WWII Museum: Veterans get free admission on November 11.
  • New Mexico Museum of Space History: Veterans and active military, along with spouses and up to two children, get free admission on November 11.
  • Newseum: Veterans, plus one guest, receive free admission November 10-12.
  • Pro Football Hall of Fame: Veterans and active military, plus one guest, receive free entry and free parking during the entire month of November.
  • Six Flags Over Georgia:  The park will be hosting Military Appreciation Days November 10 and 11. Admission is complimentary for active military members and up to three dependents. For deployed service members, a spouse and up to three dependents can receive complimentary admission with a current military ID card. Active service members can purchase an unlimited amount of additional tickets for family members or friends at half price. Veterans can receive one free admission ticket and purchase an unlimited amount of additional tickets for family members or friends at half price.
  • Starbucks: Veterans, active duty service members and military spouses can get a free tall brewed coffee at participating stores on November 11.
  • Sunset Zoo: All guests receive free admission in honor of American soldiers and their families. This is valid November 11.
  • Thomas Jefferson Monticello: Free admission for veterans and active duty military Saturday, November 10 through Monday, November 12 from 8:30am to 5pm.
  • USS Midway Museum: Free admission for active military, veterans and their families on November 10 and 11 with a Veterans Day celebration.
  • Veteran Ticket Foundation: This is a way for veterans to receive free tickets to events!
  • World of Coca-Cola: Admission is free year-round for veterans and active military, but half-price general admission tickets will be available for their friends and family November 2-12.

  • Army & Air Force Exchange Service: Military members and veterans can save big on TVs, electronics, clothing, housewares and more during the Veterans Day sale this weekend.
  • Big Lots: U.S. military veterans can save 11% in stores on November 11 and 12.
