Veterans Day is almost here, a day in which we remember and honor those who have served in the U.S. armed forces. Although we can never express our gratitude enough, many companies are providing free or discounted goods and services to both veterans and active-duty service members as a small token of appreciation. Food and restaurant deals for veterans

• Applebee’s: On November 11, all veterans and active military can receive free meals at participating Applebee’s locations. Must show proof of military service. Beverage and gratuity not included. Dine-in only. You’ll also receive a $5 Bounce Back Card for a future visit within a 3-week redemption window.
• Biggby Coffee: Get a free freshly brewed cup of coffee up to 24 oz. on Veteran’s Day.
• BJ’s Restaurant: Receive a free Chocolate Chunk Pizookie with a minimum purchase of $11.95. Offer good November 11 only for dine-in service.
• Black Angus: This chain offers service men and women a 15% discount year-round.
• Bob Evans: Veterans and active military can receive one of 10 free menu items on November 11. Must show proof of military service or come dressed in military uniform. Dine-in only.
• Buffalo Wild Wings: Free order of 10 boneless wings and a side of fries to veterans and current military members. Dine-in or take-out. Bring proof of military service.
• California Pizza Kitchen: For veterans who dine in on November 11, all persons in their party will receive a Buy one Get one free, pizza, pasta or a salad special offer to come back between November 12-21.
• Chick-fil-A: Local restaurants may be offering deals to veterans such as a free chicken sandwich. Check your local restaurant for details.
• Chili’s: On November 11, veterans and active military members can get a free meal from a special menu with a valid military ID. Dine-in only.
• Golden Corral: Active or former military members who have served in the U.S. Military can get a free thank you meal from 5 p.m. to close on November 13.
• Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt: Veterans and active duty military can enjoy their first 6 ounces of froyo free on November 11!
• Red Lobster: From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Veteran’s Day, receive a free shrimp & chips entrée voucher which can be redeemed November 13-December 10. Active-duty military, reserves and veterans simply show proof of service. Tax and gratuity not included. Dine-in only.
• Red Robin: Veterans and active-duty military guests who dine-in will receive a complimentary Red’s Big Tavern Burger and Bottomless Steak Fries at participating locations.
• Starbucks: Get a free tall (12-ounce) hot or cold brewed coffee for veterans, military service members and military spouses who visit participating U.S. Starbucks stores on November 11.

Free admission for veterans

• Aquarium of the Pacific: Free admission on Veterans Day for veterans and military personnel with military ID. Advance reservations required. Limited capacity.
• Boston Duck Tours: Veterans, active military and first responders ride free during the week of Veterans Day.
• B&B for Vets: Bed & Breakfasts around the nation are offering Buy 1/Get 1 Free and/or Free overnights on or around Veterans Day.
• Colonial Williamsburg: Get one complimentary admission ticket per year on either Memorial Day weekend or Veterans Day weekend.
• Harley-Davidson Museum: In honor of Veterans Day, all active Military, Veterans, and their families can enjoy complimentary Museum admission and a free meal at MOTOR® Bar & Restaurant (up to $12.95 with the purchase of a beverage).
• Mount Vernon: Free admission for military/veterans on November 11 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• National Parks: Get fee-free entrance on November 11. This is for everyone — not just veterans!
• National WWI Museum and Memorial: Admission is free for veterans and active duty military personnel from November 10 through 12. Meanwhile, admission for the general public is half off.
• National WWII Museum: Veterans get free admission on November 11.
• Pro Football Hall of Fame: Veterans and active military, plus one guest, receive free entry and free parking on November 11. Plus, get a 20% discount at the HOF Store.
• Thomas Jefferson Monticello: Free admission for veterans from November 11 through 12. Admission for active-duty military personnel is free year-round for select tours and passes.
• USS Midway Museum: Free admission for veterans all month long.
• Veteran Ticket Foundation: This is a way for veterans to receive free tickets to events!
