PNC Wealth Management released its annual "Christmas Price Index," which calculates how much it would cost to buy the items from the famous tune today. As it turns out, the prices are outrageous!

Today's cost of the 12 days of Christmas gifts:

  1. A partridge in a pear tree: $209.99
  2. Two turtle doves: $375.00
  3. Three French hens: $181.50
  4. Four calling birds: $599.96
  5. Five gold rings: $750.00
  6. Six geese-a-laying: $360.00
  7. Seven swans-a-swimming: $13,125.00
  8. Eight maids-a-milking: $58.00
  9. Nine ladies dancing: $7,552.84
  10. Ten lords-a-leaping: $5,508.70
  11. Eleven pipers piping: $2,708.40
  12. Twelve drummers drumming: $2,934.10

The total? A whopping $34,363.49! That's up .7% from last year, making 2016 the priciest year yet. It also would cost $156,507.88 to buy the presents for every time they are repeated in the song.
