A patio heater can be a great addition to your patio all year round. You may think of patio heaters providing warmth in the colder months. But they’re not just for winter anymore.

Patio heaters are also great during the early weeks of spring. Temperatures can still dip at night yet everybody wants to be outside as much as possible as the weather turns nicer during the day. So a patio heater is the perfect solution for this time of year.

And finding a deal on a patio heater is easy if you know where to look!

Where to find patio heater deals

Patio heaters generally come in three types: Natural gas, propane or electric. After looking back over the deals we posted on patio heaters here at ClarkDeals.com during the past year, we noted several places to find the best price no matter which kind you want:

Daily deal sites

Woot has proven to be the most reliable source in this category for deals on patio heaters. This daily deal site offers the items it sells for only 24 hours and then they’re gone. So if you see a deal you like, you have to pounce!

Here’s a sample of what they’ve had over the past year:

Big-box stores

Walmart pretty routinely has a 41,000 BTU patio heater from its Mainstays line available for $119. This option heats up to 100 sq. ft. and requires a propane tank, which is not included.

Meanwhile, Target can also be a good place to look for patio heater deals. They have a 47,000 BTU model for $149.99. Propane tank not included.

Home improvement stores

The Home Depot and Lowe’s are also great places to check for patio heaters.

While you can find everyday low prices on patio heaters at either of them, the big-box home improvement stores are nice because they also offer daily deals that are more in line with what Woot does:

If you can find a daily deal on a patio heater from Home Depot or Lowe’s, chances are it’s going to be a really sweet deal!

Online retailers

Don’t forget about Amazon and eBay when it comes to finding deals on patio heaters.

For example, eBay offers a Bali Outdoors 40,000 BTU patio heater for $119, which requires a propane tank (not included). That’s about $10 cheaper than the Amazon price.

Warehouse clubs

Finally, if you’re a longtime follower of Clark Howardβ€˜s, you know that the money expert loves warehouse clubs for their low markups. You get access to those savings for a nominal annual membership fee.

Here at ClarkDeals.com, we’ve seen some great prices on patio heaters from Sam’s Club and Costco Wholesale over the past year.

For example, Costco has a Fire Sense patio heater for $139.99 (propane tank not included). Walmart, meanwhile, sells the same thing for $279.95! So you can save around $140 if you buy from Costco!
