2 unlimited plan deals Verizon customers should know about
Verizon now has two new unlimited plans for consumers. The cheaper one, Go Unlimited, is $75/month for one line and $160/month for four lines before taxes and fees. You must also set up automatic payments.
With that plan, video streaming is DVD-quality on phones (480p) and mobile hotspot data is at non-4G LTE speeds.
For users who want HD-quality streaming, 4G LTE hotspot data and calls to Mexico and Canada, Verizon has the Beyond Unlimited plan priced at $85/month for a single line.
Verizon’s introductory unlimited plan for $80/month that was announced in February is no longer available to new customers.
Although Verizon has tried to put a positive spin on these new plans, Clark said on the radio show that there are better deals for people who are willing to shop around.
In fact, he now says that you should compare plans if you haven’t done so in the last 45 days:
Γ’β¬ΕIf you have not shopped your cell phone service in the last six weeks, you’re paying too much. I used to say in the last six months, but prices have moved so much in the last six weeks. You owe it to your wallet to not let inertia rule your life and go shop for the deals that are out there.Γ’β¬Β
Clark has talked about two plans a lot recently. MetroPCS (part of T-Mobile) has two lines of unlimited data for $75, taxes and fees included. Video streams at 480p and no tethering is allowed.
If you’re OK withΒ DVD-quality streaming and no hotspot data, MetroPCS gives you two lines for the price of one with Verizon.
For anyone who needs five lines of unlimited data, Sprint’s current offer is the one to beat. It’s just $90 before taxes and fees.
