Woot is our favorite pick for cheap tools in the world of daily deal sites because it has a dedicated tool page. Each day, Woot will post a deal in this category that is 24-hours only. So inventory turns over on a daily basis and then it’s gone, unless it sells out earlier. In that case, it will be replaced by another tool deal until the next day when it will change again.
As one example, Woot recently had a selection of Craftsman tools for under $25. Included was the Craftsman 17-piece 1/4″ drive socket wrench set (9-34862) for $19.99, which was a $29.56 savings on the regular price. Other deals included a 6-piece ratchet & socket set for $12.99 and a 4-piece pro screwdriver set for $21.99.
Remember, these deals are no longer available since Woot changes its deals out daily. But we post them just to give you a sense of the kind of deals you can get!
Big-box home improvement stores
As we mentioned earlier, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with buying cheap tools at The Home Depot or Lowe’s. In fact, they often have some of the best prices.
But here’s a different approach to shopping the big-box stores you may not have considered. Did you know that Home Depot in particular has daily deals? Much like Woot, the inventory turns over on a daily basis and you can score some rock-bottom prices!
For example, Home Depot recently sold a Ridgid 18-volt cordless 3-tool combo kit with OCTANE brushless router, OCTANE brushless jigsaw and random orbit sander for $199. That is a $60 savings!
And that’s just one deal of dozens on days when Home Depot posts cheap tool deals. Of course, there’s no telling what product category they’ll run deals on during any given day. Compared to the next best price we found on the same set from a reputable seller — $40.90 shipped from eBay — that was a savings of nearly $18!
