Why I Dig this Deal:

This entire package is a great value considering just the flights can be in the $400s round-trip! Two of our staffers said this is one of the most beautiful places they've been.

This deal basically gets you the hotel for free!

The colorful historic city of Angra do Heroísmo on Portugal’s Terceira Island is just a 4-hour flight from Boston. Travel on Azores Airlines to Angra do Heroísmo. Classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, Terceira’s capital city of Angra do Heroísmo is dotted by historical buildings, colorful houses, restaurants, shops, and cafes. The island has an active volcano that you can walk through called Algar do Carvão (one of the very few volcanoes that welcomes and encourages visitors) and some of the best wreck diving in the world. And it’s all just a four-hour flight from Boston.

A per person package rate of $499 includes the flight from Boston in January and February (spring trips available for a couple of hundred dollars more), a 6-night stay in 4-star accommodations with daily breakfast. Hotel upgrades, additional tours and airport transfers available during the booking process. The flight operates only one time a week.
