Ride the rails for a day trip to or from Orlando, or make it a weekend without the hassle of car rentals, airports or the drive with Brightline, the new Florida-based train.

Fun for summertime theme park visits is the Brightline promo that give a 50% discount for kids ages 2-12 with the purchase of one adult (infants 0-24 months free).

Brightline also offers 50% off SMART fares for groups (no age requirements) of 3-10 travelers between Orlando and one of the stops on the South Florida route. A 7-day or more advance booking is required. A one-way fare of $39 is the lowest rate for this promotion. Here’s more info on the Group Savings offer.

Larger groups also can get discounts of 25%.

The 3.5-hour direct train service between Miami and Orlando runs nearly every hour with stops in Aventura, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, and West Palm Beach.

With racks and ample room throughout the rail coaches, compact travel items can ride with you. Larger bags may be checked through to your final station. Premium fares include a complimentary first checked bag, and Smart fares are $25 per checked bag. You’ll be prompted to add this feature closer to the date of your travel.

The Brightline Orlando station, which spreads out to 37,350 square feet, is located inside the new 80,000 square foot Terminal C Train Station at Orlando International Airport. Inside the station is the Mary Mary My Tap self-serve bar using facial recognition.

You can book additional transportation, such as Uber and rental cars when purchasing tickets. Premium ticket holders receive complimentary Uber rides anywhere within a five-mile radius in South Florida.
