Save big on these great cruise deals!

Black Friday weekend through Travel Tuesday and the year-end are some of the best times of the year to land a deal on a cruise vacation. Here’s a round-up of some of the best offers from VacationsToGo.com (sign up free with just an email address). The deals are good on select voyages throughout 2020.

Norwegian is offering discounts of up to 85% with newly reduced rates, as well as exclusive shipboard credits of up to $150 per cabin on applicable departures. Plus, on select sailings choose your free perk(s) based on cabin types booked at eligible rates. Perks include unlimited open bar for two, specialty dining and friends and family sail free as third/fourth passengers in the cabin. Book by December 6.

Holland America has reduced rates by up to 71% on select departures. Also, pay a reduced deposit of $100 per person and get exclusive shipboard credits of up to $250 per cabin, plus free gratuities when you book balcony cabins or higher. Book by December 7.

The posh Seabourn line is offering discounts of up to 75%. Plus, on select dates get a free cabin category upgrade, a 300-minute Internet package for premium suites and shipboard credits of up to $500 per cabin. Pricing includes open bars, fine wines at lunch and dinner and gratuities. Book by December 23.

Viking is offering free airfare on select Bermuda, Caribbean and Panama Canal departures, and pay reduced airfare from certain gateways for select sailings as follows (rates are per person): Fly from $499 for Alaska; from $799 for Northern Europe and transatlantic crossings; from $999 for Asia and the Mediterranean; and from $1,499 for Australia/New Zealand. Book by Saturday, November 30.

Keep in mind that the lowest cruise rates are often for inside cabins and not many extra perks. Extra costs to consider include drink packages ($40-$60 per person, per day), Wi-Fi, shore excursions and tips ($16-$25 per person, per day).

Clark and his family have taken a number of cruises in the past few years and have found that Costco Travel offers great customer service and low cruise rates for its members.

Costco Travel does not sell every cruise line, but it does handle all of the largest brands. Look for Kirkland Signature and Buyer’s Choice sailings for extra value and amenities.
