Great deals on flights to Colombia!

Scott’s Cheap Flights just posted a deal for flights to Colombia in the $200s-$400s round-trip. He says these fares may last several days, but if you want to go, you’ll probably want to grab them as soon as possible before prices go up!

These fares are through LATAM, Delta, JetBlue, Copa, Avianca, United, American, Aeromexico or Silver Airways. Availability is varies by route, but fares are generally August through June 2018, including Thanksgiving on some routes but excluding Christmas and New Year’s Eve.

Note that there is a $25 checked bag fee for flights with JetBlue and a $35 checked bag fee for flights with Silver Airways, but free on all other airlines.

Grace on our team has lived in Colombia, and this is what she recommends seeing:

“Colombia is a beautiful country and it boasts the most diverse climate of South America. Experience the hot Caribbean weather, delicious seafood and gorgeous beaches in the historic city of Cartagena — or the visit the modern city of Medellin, also called The City of the Eternal Spring — which one of the safest cities in South America. Bogota is the capital of Colombia located east of the Andes which is also close to the Zona cafetera (coffee zones). Here you’ll find stunning lush, green mountain landscapes.”

She says Cartagena is her favorite, and this is also Sally on our team’s top pick if you’re traveling to just one place in Colombia!

Fares like this normally run about $550 and up, so if you end up buying these you’ll save a couple hundred dollars. Search Google Flights or Kayak to find the best days and Momondo to find your best price. Above is a sample flight from New York City to Medellin October 10 through October 18.

If you don’t see your city listed, try finding a cheap fare to one of the above cities using Kayak.com/explore or Google Flights and see if it’s still a deal. Southwest Airlines often offers deals which include 2 checked bags and no change fees, and Frontier Airlines often offers one-way fares as low as $20. (Note that Southwest Airlines does not show up in Google Flights, so you’ll want to be sure to check there too!)
