Scandinavian Airlines sale: Kids fly FREE for a limited time!

Through September 27, Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) is offering free flights for kids up to 11 years old to the airline’s European destinations, including destinations in Norway, Denmark, Sweden, and Finland. The child will need to pay the taxes and fees on the no fare ticket, or about $60-$70 per round-trip. Round-trip adult fares to Scandinavia start from $500 to $600.

The Travelers Start Young offer is valid for travel in economy class (SAS Go, SAS Go Light with paid checked bags, no seat selection, onboard meal) or premium economy class (*SAS Plus) from November 1 through December 1 and again from January 8 through March 24. Up to 8 kids are permitted to fly free with one paying adult.

*SAS Plus passengers pay much higher rates over basic economy fares (average $250 more each way), however, quite a few perks are included — and the children traveling on this promo will still pay zero base rate (but $60-$70 in taxes, fees). Perks include access to the SAS lounge, two free checked bags, priority boarding, seat selection, a three-course meal, and free Wi-Fi.

In addition to the free base fare, the airline is offering carbon offsets through its CO2 Youth Offset Program.
