Hilton Head Sonesta refundable getaway from $99

Get a jump start on the year-end celebrations with a getaway to Hilton Head Island and a stay at the AAA 4-Diamond family-friendly Sonesta Resort. The 11-acre resort is part of the Shipyard Plantation which offers direct access to miles of white-sand beaches.

Nightly rates start from just $99-$129 on most nights in November and December. Rates range from $119-$129 per night most Sundays-Thursdays throughout September and October. Weekends are $30-$40 higher. Upgraded rooms are also discounted. These rates apply to double-occupancy rooms with higher rates for additional guests.

Guest rooms are contemporary and bright with Keurig coffee makers, refrigerators and floor-to-ceiling windows and doors that lead out to a private balcony or patio.

Not included is a $12 per night resort fee (regularly $22) which includes Wi-Fi, self-parking, shuttle service within the shipyard and access to the pool and private beach (paid at the hotel).

Onsite is a lobby market for snacks; beverages; toiletry and sundry items; a kids’ club (for ages 3-12); play area; lounging hammocks; a spa; a heated shade pool and hot tub; and a lagoon swimming pool with no-steps entrance.

Guests also have access to the 24-hour fitness center, full-service spa and a shuttle service to ferry you around the Shipyard Plantation. Rent a kayak or a bike to explore the island. There are nearby tennis and golf courses with resort signing privileges.

Dining options at the Sonesta Resort are ample with restaurants for dinners or small plates. Join the Happy Hour with live music at both of the resort’s bars. More cafes, restaurants and shops are a complimentary shuttle ride away to the nearby Coligny Plaza shopping center.

The Sonesta Resort Hilton Head Island is a 4-hour drive from Atlanta, a 45-minute drive from Savannah and about a 90-minute ride from Charleston.
