14-day New Zealand adventure with flights & hotels from $1,949

Save 30% on a dream trip to New Zealand!

Down Under Answers (repeatedly voted Best Travel Wholesaler by Tourism Australia and Tourism New Zealand) offers an 11-night/14-day (remember the dateline crossing) bundled air and land package to four of the top towns in New Zealand.

This independent travel package includes:

  • Round-trip airfare on Air New Zealand from Los Angeles or San Francisco to Auckland
  • Three nights in Auckland
  • Two nights in Rotorua
  • Two nights in Wellington
  • Four nights in Queenstown
  • Inter-island flights

Here’s how the itinerary (all suggested experiences and tours are at an additional cost). Destination Experts at Down Under Answers can assist with suggesting other trip tips or add tour options.

On arrival, enjoy the museums, galleries, zoos, and parks in Auckland. Don’t miss a short hike up Mount Eden for panoramic views of the Auckland region, or catch the ferry to Rangitoto, a volcanic island in the Auckland Harbour. Stay 3 nights.

Next, you’ll fly south to Rotorua to experience Maori culture, geothermal earth forces, or its 16 lakes. The region offers some of the world’s best mountain biking trails, fantastic trout fishing, and forest walking trails. Stay 2 nights.

Continue south by air to the capital city of Wellington. Ride the historic Cable Car to visit the Botanic Garden or hear the birdsong of a tuatara as you walk through Zealandia, the Karori Sanctuary Experience. Stay 2 nights.

Fly from Wellington to Queenstown, an area of extraordinary natural beauty. Explore Milford or Doubtful Sounds, visit the historic township of Arrowtown or relax on an afternoon wine tasting journey. Stay 4 nights.

Per person prices based on departure dates (based on two traveling/staying together):

  • $2,289 Now – March 31
  • $2,099 April 1-30
  • $1,949 May 1 – June 28
  • $2,179 July 25 – September 18
  • $2,239 September 19 – October 31
  • $2,339 November 1 – December 10

Remember that seasons are the opposite of North America. However, temps are still pleasant for sightseeing: average temps in April and May are 62-70°F and 53-61°F in June, July and August

Besides tips and advice on what to see and do in both the north and south islands, Pure New Zealand (the official tourism website for NZ) offers a guide to local transportation within its cities.

Book your NZ adventure with Down Under Answers on or before March 10.
