And it’s that time of year when VIA Rail offers great deals on almost all of its journeys. Through June 2, book a trip with VIA Rail to receive up to 40% savings during the Plan Your Summer sale.

Here are the highlights:

Touring and Economy class tickets for travel today through December 31. Save 20% on travel now through October 31 and 40% off for travel from November 1 through December 31. A 7-day advance purchase required. The long distance sale is valid on the Toronto–Vancouver (the Canadian), Montreal-Halifax (the Ocean), Winnipeg-Churchill and Jasper-Prince-Rupert trains.

If you plan to travel on an economy class ticket between June 15 and September 15, and you can take along a child (ages 2-11) for just $15. Up to five children can travel for $15 each per adult traveling on the same itinerary.

The Quebec City-Windsor corridor is one of VIA Rail’s most popular routes. Save 20% off Business Class fare on routes from Toronto to Montreal, London to Ottawa, or Windsor to Quebec City between June 15 and September 15. Perks of Business Class include strong Wi-Fi signals; access to a well-appointed lounge with complimentary non-alcoholic drinks and newspapers; a hot three-course meal on-board; and a selection of wine and cocktails.

For serious travelers, the CanRailpass is valid for travel between Quebec City and Windsor, Ontario for 21 consecutive days — now through May 21, 2020 — with reduced fares of up to 40% off. It’s primarily a commuter service but is also an incredibly scenic way to ride the 710-mile line through some very diverse landscapes.

The 40% off sale also applies to the CanRail System pass permits travel for 60 consecutive days with a set number of one-way Economy class (7 or 10 one-way trips) for a predetermined number of days within a region of Canada (from $761 + 15% tax). The pass is valid for 60 consecutive days from your first date of travel. If you’re planning a long journey with overnight travel, choose the System Extra Pass which allows you to upgrade to sleeping accommodation (from $846 + tax).
