Are you in the market for a great deal on a new TV? Clark recently found a 75″ 4k TV for $999 in one of Fry’s Electronics’ daily email deals that is valid this week! But aside from checking the daily or weekly deals at the discounters, what should you look for and where can you find the best prices on TVs?

What to look for in a new TV

When shopping for a TV, there are several things to keep in mind. For example, a 4k TV has four times the resolution of a high definition TV or HDTV, and a refresh rate of 120Hz means the picture moves more quickly than a 60Hz TV.

Also, do you want smart, or not? A smart TV means you can connect to apps like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime and more. But, a Roku device or Google Chromecast can also allow you to do this on a non-smart TV with an HDMI input.

So, when comparing apples to apples, you might find that buying a smart device for your non-smart TV will save you money! However, Clark is a fan of smart TVs because they might save you money in another way (see more here).

And when it comes to brands, Clark says the cheaper the better. “I find that people often way overpay for flatscreens because they think they are hurting themselves if they buy a brand they don’t know much about. But the reality is you hurt yourself more if you pay more for a TV since as prices drop, screen size gets larger and capability gets better. So you’re best off going down on brand and up on screen size, or down on brand, keep the same screen size and then keep more money in your pocket.”

We’ve scoured the web for the best prices on TVs right now, by feature and size from retailers such as Best Buy, Walmart, Target and BrandsMart USA, among others. Get ready for the Super Bowl with these best bargains on TVs!

Note that prices may fluctuate due to retailers’ dynamic pricing models.
